CSTA Conference 2024

Registration now open for participants, confirmed presenters and exhibitors


The Connecticut Science Teaching Association (CSTA) is excited to have its first full conference post-pandemic on October 19, 2024 at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury, CT. The theme of the conference is “Connecting and Collaborating.”  The 2024 themed conference strands are Climate Change, The Environment, Connecting Teachers to Technology and Connecting Elementary Teachers to Science along with collaboration on NGSS curriculum, instruction and assessment. We are excited to have Dr. Maureen Raymo as our Keynote speaker.  Dr. Raymo is a paleoclimatologist and marine geologist.  Her numerous accomplishments include Co-Founding Dean of the Columbia Climate School, past Director of Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, and the co-author ofWritten in Stone - A Geological History of the Northeastern United States.

Exhibitor Information and Registration 

This year we have revised the format of the conference to allow dedicated time for the participants to visit exhibitor’s displays. There is an hour of time during registration and breakfast, a half hour showcase following the keynote speaker, and an additional forty minutes during lunch. A raffle will take place at the end of lunch. We invite you to be a part of the raffle by donating any goods or services you deem appropriate. In addition to the raffle donation, we are looking for breakfast sponsors. 

Commercial Exhibitor Registration is $100.00 it includes a 6 ft table, inclusion in the program, and registration for one (1) primary exhibitor. Additional attendees (up to 2 additional) can be added for $40.00 per registrant. 

Non-profit Exhibitor registration is $50.00 it includes a 6 ft table, inclusion in the program, registration and membership for 1 primary exhibitor. An additional attendee (1 individual) can be added for $30.00 per registrant.

Presenter Information and Registration

The call for presenter proposals closed on July 15, 2024 and the selection process is complete. Accepted proposals recently received a confirmation email. All exhibitors, presenters, and participants/attendees must have a paid 2024-2025 membership in the Connecticut Science and Teaching  Association. There is no additional conference registration fee for presenters.
